State Farm has launched a Distracted Driving Awareness Campaign ~ A few seconds can change everything!

Distracted driving is preventable - and it increases crash risk fast. Safety research indicates that taking your eyes off the road for just 2 seconds can double your crash risk. Texting takes about 4.6 seconds on average; at 55 mph, that’s roughly the length of a football field traveled with eyes off the road. Research also associates texting while driving with a 23× higher likelihood of a safety‐critical event.

How can you reduce distraction?

· Enable Do Not Disturb while driving

· Set navigation and music before you drive

· Pull over safely if you must read or respond

Outside of the office, I enjoy teaching fitness classes and spending time with my husband and our two sons. We stay busy with sports and outdoor activities, and our home in Hudson is also shared with three dogs, four barn cats, and two pygmy goats.
